Needless destruction


Last post I introduced you to that graveyard/ park I ‘found’ – today a little more about it…
This one really got me. It is the tomb of a German family, they died somewhat around the end of the 19th century and all of them were buried together or at least had a marble plate in this tomb.
The roof is broken and torn apart, the floor was ripped open, the plate which originally covered the grave was taken away, beyond is only rubbish left. Someone seems to sleep there, the smell of this place really bites into your nose…
But they couldn’t destroy the headstone. The gigantic marble plate telling about the life of this person… You could see some scratches in it, someone hit it with an hard and heavy instrument and quite mixed results… Now it is not destroyed in a physical manner but dishonored by showing anarchist symbols instead of the achievements of this family…
